Roatán Humanitarian Tour
9:00am Or time of arrival- leave the terminal in your comfortable AC bus, on your way to the school your tour guide will share the history of Roatan. At the school, you will meet the children who will sing welcoming songs. You will personally donate your gifts and interact with them. Then an open forum to exchange questions with the children. So bring your questions ready!
10:00am Leave the school thru Coxen Hole’s commercial district, sightseeing the daily activities of the community.
10:15am Arrive to the Stone Castle-Cameo Carving Institute built in 1851 by Franco Tamaro, Roatan’s cameo carver; an Italian American who has continued teaching the art of cameo carving to the youngsters. While at the Castle you can buy amazing Cameo art gifts.
10:30am Leave Stone House to el Mirador.
10:45am Arrive at “El Mirador” the highest point of Coxen Hall harbor village; there you will have a magnificent view of the East and South coast lines of the island. The perfect opportunity to take beautiful panoramic pictures!
11:00am Leave El Mirador.
11:10am Our next stop will be West End Village; there you will have a refreshment and have free time to shop for souvenirs at the art stores of the village.
12:00pm Enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants in the island.
12:45pm Leave to our last stop at Salomon’s Paradise farm, there you will see several farm animals and fruit trees; you will also learn the process of making coconut oil.
1:30pm Leave to the terminal from South East part of the Island.
2:00pm Arrive at the terminal. End of the tour!
