Pacaya Volcano Hike
About two dozen volcanoes rise above the Guatemala's mountainous landscape. Only a few of these are still active, but the presence of hot springs and steam vents on the flanks of inactive volcanoes hints at the subterranean power sealed beneath them. Few tourist will return home without picture of volcanoes in their collection of snapshots.....
Climb to the very peak of the famous Pacaya Volcano. With a little luck & good timing you'll experience a very active volcano and you'll even see flowing red lava. We recommend you bring: Hiking boots or sports shoes, long pants and shirt and a light sweater and camera. Tour leaves pier terminal at 9:30AM and returns at 4:30PM. (Actual hiking time - 1hr 30m each way)
